NEWDERY Battery Pack for Meta Quest 3S/3

Overview

For virtual reality players engaged in immersive open-world RPGs, flight simulators, or extended VR work productivity apps, stopping to recharge or swap batteries mid-session can break focus. The NEWDERY 10,000mAh Neck-Worn Battery Pack offers a dedicated solution focused on maximum single-unit runtime and head-weight relief.

Engineered specifically for Meta Quest 3, Meta Quest 3S, Quest 2, and other USB-C VR headsets, the NEWDERY power bank adopts a wearable U-shaped neckband form factor. By resting the high-density 10,000mAh cell around your collarbone and shoulders, it completely eliminates extra mass from your VR headset strap.

Featuring dual USB-C ports with 18W Power Delivery (PD) fast charging, a soft skin-friendly silicone housing, and intelligent multi-stage circuit protection, the NEWDERY unit is designed for marathon gamers who want one high-capacity battery pack that powers through long sessions without needing battery swaps or head-strap adjustments.

Performance

In battery life testing paired with the high-drain Meta Quest 3, the NEWDERY 10,000mAh pack delivered an impressive 3.5 to 5 additional hours of active VR gameplay, effectively tripling the stock battery performance of the headset.

The 18W PD fast-charging USB-C output (Type-C 2 dedicated output port) delivers steady power under peak processing loads. During intense gameplay, the Quest 3 internal battery charge level remained stable or slowly topped up rather than declining.

The inclusion of dual USB-C ports adds impressive versatility. While the primary output port keeps your Meta Quest powered, the second port can simultaneously trickle-charge wireless earbuds, phone controllers, or a smartphone placed in your pocket. Built-in thermal protection keeps the battery housing cool against your body, ensuring heat generated during continuous 18W output does not transfer to your neck.

Design & Portability

The key design advantage of the NEWDERY power bank is its ergonomic weight distribution. Standard head-strap battery attachments add 150 to 300 grams directly onto your skull, which can cause neck fatigue or facial pressure over several hours. The NEWDERY collar places that weight onto your torso and shoulders, where human anatomy naturally supports load with ease.

The neck band is crafted from flexible, sweat-resistant silicone with an internal memory-alloy spine that conforms comfortably to different neck sizes and body shapes. Whether sitting in a cockpit flight simulator or standing up for room-scale VR, the collar stays securely centered without slipping.

To connect to your headset, the unit includes a flexible right-angle USB-C cable. A cable management clip routes the cord cleanly along your clothing, keeping it out of the way of controller motion paths.

Maximum Playtime vs. Hot-Swap Convenience

Comparing the NEWDERY 10,000mAh Neck Pack against head-mounted hot-swap solutions (like the KIWI Design P5000 2-Pack) highlights two distinct design philosophies in VR power accessories.

The NEWDERY is built for maximum single-unit capacity and absolute head-weight elimination. Packing 10,000mAh into one continuous power source means you plug in once and play for up to 5 extra hours straight without pausing to swap modules or monitor battery levels. Furthermore, because zero battery weight rests on your head strap, your headset remains lighter and easier to fit.

The tradeoff is the presence of a connecting cable running from your neck up to your headset, as well as wearing a collar around your shoulders. In contrast, hot-swap options like the KIWI P5000 mount directly to your head strap for a cable-free feel, but require managing multiple smaller 5,000mAh pods and performing mid-game swaps. For marathon players who prefer a single massive battery and zero head weight, the NEWDERY design is ideal.

Who Is It For?

The NEWDERY 10,000mAh Neck Battery Pack is tailored for Meta Quest 3, 3S, Quest 2, and PSVR 2 users who indulge in long VR sessions and want uninterrupted runtime. It is especially recommended for simulator pilots, movie streamers, and VR productivity users who remain seated or semi-stationary and value maximum battery capacity without adding mass to their VR facial interface.

It is also an excellent option for users who suffer from neck strain or headaches when using heavy battery-integrated head straps.

Verdict

The NEWDERY 10,000mAh Neck-Worn Battery Pack excels at delivering continuous, long-lasting power while prioritizing user comfort. Its combination of a massive 10,000mAh cell, 18W PD fast charging, dual USB-C ports, and head-weight-free neckband design makes it a top choice for extended VR sessions. If your priority is maximum continuous playtime and relieving head pressure, the NEWDERY is an outstanding investment for your Meta Quest setup.
